Yesterday I lost my favourite pencil, couldn’t find it anywhere

Sketch and pencil in sketchbook

When a lost pencil turns up on a laptop screen

Yesterday I lost my favourite pencil, couldn’t find it anywhere: not in pencil cases, not on a chair , or rolled off onto the floor, not in a couple of project books that I’d been working in, but this morning I found it in my laptop…

Well not physically in my laptop, but that’s where I spotted it, in a photo, of a sketchbook… and so I went to the sketchbook, and there it was, tucked into the sketchbook, under the character sketch, possibly reminding me to get on with some drawing…

So now I’m wondering what else I might find in my sketchbook, or what I might find in the pencil, if I just let it wander about the pages making its mark, and letting the creative mind wander too. So if you’ve lost me, I’ll be lost in a book, a sketchbook this time, but a book none the less.

As a self publisher you’ve likely already come up against some sort of barrier in traditional publishing.
