The work in progress…

The work in progress is progressing again, I’ve been working on the characters and throwing some colours around, experimenting with watercolours, and sloshing around in pixels with a bit of digital colouring in. the characters have been very excited to get a splash of colour, and have been running around the bookshop.

This unruly behaviour is likely to carry on until they have their own book to populate, or at least a book block file, where they can to inserted, formatted and get to know the written words of the story, and hopefully settle down without too much argy bargy. In a picture book the words and pictures share the role of storytelling, so there’s always a bit of rewriting when the words meet the pictures on the page, so that everyone has their say, and the story flows.
