Chasing ideas

As I rummage around for the perfect titles and keywords that will catch the attention of readers and book buyers, I try to remember that words don’t always flow into a book either. There is always a balance between patience and the urge to pursue words and ideas whether they like it or not, in order to capture a word count. Ideas are illusive things and like to play games, flitting around the imagination so that you are aware that they are there, but just can’t pin them down. And nothing it seems, makes them hide more surely than when I have my promotional hat on, a hat that doesn’t seem to sit quite right at the best of times.

So what is the answer? Maybe to throw the promotional hat into the wind and see if any ideas fall out…
