1st August, Yorkshire Day
Yorkshire Day, quite an auspicious day for the next step of the journey. I’ve been having a blast playing with the free trial of a website, an upgrade with extra pages, and most importantly, a shop. I’ve taken my existing one page website about as far as I can, introducing my books and adding a blog, and now it’s time to take the next leap…
So what is the hold up, because there’s always a hold up…! Well, when I try to upgrade the shiny new site I’ve been building, it tells me my domain name is already taken, I know, it’s taken by me! So now I’ve raised a ticket to see if this can be got around, or if I need to have a new domain name for the new site, not sure I really want to be running two websites, although there could be advantages in that, also I don’t want to lose this blog where I’ve been sharing the journey. So that is where I’m at, on this wet Thursday morning.
So what next?
As well as signing and packing all the book orders I hope will be flooding in, I need to get back to the work in progress, the next book. There’s a decision to be made there too: to send it out on another round of submissions, or get down to the task of illustrating it, with another self publish on the horizon.
Whatever I decide I’ll be sharing the journey on my blog, so watch this space…
Writing, publishing, self publishing and selling books, sharing the journey...
