Sharing a passion for books

Sharing a passion for books

I have a passion for books; I don’t remember the start of it, just that it has always been there. I believe growing up surrounded by books sparked it, I was read to from a very young age, books were always around me. I remember learning to read, and the joy when it finally clicked, the squiggles on the page not only made sense, but drew me in to magical worlds… I was hooked.

And as an adult, what better gift is there than passing on a love of books to the next generation… to put books in the hands of little ones, to share a story, and let the pictures paint images in the imagination. To let enquiring hands hold and pull, and yes, tear, because a battered baby book is a loved book, like a favourite teddy, never intended to stay pristine.
